Hi all .

A year ago i bought a dell inspiron 1525 with 250 GB free space.
I installed ubuntu. a week ago i made a mistake under su and ruined some stuff so i decided to reinstall ubuntu.
now when i check my free space i see total filesystem capacity 225 , used 5 , free 220.

Maybe my re-installation was bad.
I put the cd , restart the computer , press f12 , selecting the CD drive and - install ubuntu . right?

please help me bring back my 25 GB :|
Thanks.

Due to differences in the way drive manufacturers and operating systems calculate exactly how much memory is in 1 GB, that difference is normal. For example, I have an 80 GB drive, but Disk Usage Analyzer says I only have 72.4 GB total. There's nothing to worry about.

EDIT: For more info, see this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte#Consumer_confusion).
