Edit: Ok I think I see what I was doing wrong now - please disregard thread.
Hi Everyone, I'm trying to create a .deb package for Linux DC++ as the current release (see http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=42084) is a bit outdated, but can't seem to find a good tutorial to put it together.
I downloaded the old .deb file, extracted it and copied over the changed program and other files and built a new package. It installs, but the program crashes when run (due to GTK faults, maybe related to dependancies) and it isn't added to the gnome menu.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or can point me in the right direction of a good tutorial?
Thanks,
Tom
