I installed ubuntu on a dual boot with winXP and I cannot get ubuntu to boot ever.
I have tried several things including GRUB and Wingrub.
When ever I open a terminal (from ubuntu live CD) and do the commands
sudo grub
find /boot/grub/stage1 (I have also tried find /grub/stage1)
I get the "error 15: file not found" dialog. I have tried several things in these forums and other and cannot get ubuntu to boot. Is there anyone who can give a procedure to diagnose and/or fix this problem? (i.e. maybe checking to see if i did the installation correctly or anything else)
