Fluendo Complete Playback Pack updates

Hey everybody!

I wonder; if I order a Fluendo Complete Playback Pack, will I get updates for free? Or do I have to buy the complete thing again? This because, they offer some codecs only for 32-bit and maybe they will release 64-bit versions sometime..

Is this true? Last year I asked around here in the forums, Canonical Store and Launchpad, nobody knew the answer to this. Until now.

In three years you would pay more for codecs than Windows Vista Home Premium (OEM). It already costs as much Windows if it comes bundled with a PC. So much for Fluendo codecs then, too expensive in the long run.

I hope ffmpeg and gstreamer can eventually play most common proprietary codecs without problems and without w32codecs.
