I'm looking for a good VCS tool to manage and save my web projects.

on the net, many people say that sentence with subverion flash files and others do not complain.
Git was developed because the function merge subversion was not optimal.

Do some of you are using svn, git or mercurial to manipulate files?
in large numbers?
high taillle?

thx to all.

PS: sorry for my bad english

Note that git calls itself "the stupid content tracker". Stupid, because (at least in theory) it doesn't care about what kind of content it's tracking. So it might be a good choice.

I have some binary blobs tracked by git with no problems, though I wouldn't say "large numbers".

Although subversion is mostly used for source code, it is also used for binary files, The Elephants Dream project used subversion for example.
