ok i installed ubuntu thr wubi all was fine then when it started up it ask for a password?i did not have one accept on wubi and that did not work any suggestions or solutions?

you would have needed to use a password whether you were installing through wubi or liveCD. otherwise you cannot use terminal or login.

ok i did that and still doesnt recongnize my password any other way i can try ubuntu with out going thru wibi i am stumped

did you make sure your keyboard layout is correct and caps lock is off/on? Perhaps you entered your password wrong on install?

ok i went thru wubi put in password it installed rebooted istalled files restarted then went too the log in screen so i had no where too edit our put in password so idk

ok got the password fixed tyvm now its java and wireless i got 200 updates ill run them and see like i said ty all vm
