I've been using monodevelop 2 since Alpha1. I must say it's a *huge* improvement over the last version. As of alpha 2 it had replaced my usage of VS2008.

Good stuff.

update to beta ubuntu 9.04 or wait 13 days for the finale release
the new version is in the 9,04 rebo and if you have a MonoDevelop 1
it will be listed as a update
