8.04 worked fine for me. Saw my sata drives, mobo chipset(ati) and video card(ati) but since 8.10 nothing works.

8.10 does not see my ati chipset or video card

9.04 does not even find my sata drives.

Yes i have XP pro as my primary partition.

So what did they do to make it not work? why change something that worked?

Any help why both version do not work?

"Does not see"... "Does not work"...

Could you possibly be just a LITTLE bit more specific perhaps?

9.04 says it cannot find the sata drives. How much more specific do you mean.

8.10 Loads no drivers for my video card or my monitor.

8.04 had no problems with these three things.

I mean perhaps you could provide some basic background information to help troubleshoot your situation. Things like, WHEN you get this error message. The actual verbiage OF the error message (I've never had an installer tell me "Sorry bub, but I can't find your SATA drive or drives..."), your system's basic hardware specs, how you're trying to install and things of this nature.

8.04 didn't install any proprietary drivers for your video card or monitor either, it used the generic VESA driver unless, and until, you used the on-board Driver Manager to install a different one, or installed them yourself from source.

If you're having issues with getting your video working properly telling us what video solution your system HAS would be a big step in the right direction.

If you just came in to complain, though, that's fine too, just let me know please.
