i'm using gnome

I want to:
1) remove or hide desktop launcher's text and leave only icon
2) disable opera's (the browser) title bar (or remove its window decoration)

Help me. Thanks

1. At least at some point this was possible by changing the launcher text to single space. I'm not sure if this works any more, but you could give it a try.

2. If you use Compiz, install Compizconfig Settings Manager if you haven't already got it, and then you can define which wndows get decorations & shadows and which don't in the Window Decoration-plugin's settings.

1. Nope, blank name's not accepted
2. Yeah, it worked.

i'm also interested to find an answer to question 1. i think it would be great and intuitive to remove the text from image files and just recognise them by their thumbnail.
