I have a new (less than a month old) Dell Vostro laptop with Windows Vista Business installed. I downloaded Ubuntu and want to use the Wubi install method. When I do that the installer finishes and tells me to restart. When I do that I then have the option of booting into Windows or Ubuntu. The problem is once I boot into Ubuntu it tells me I can install it or run it off the live CD (there is no disc in my CD drive). If I try to insta;l it it brings up a disc partitioner. I don't think that this is how wubi is supposed to work. My understanding is that it would be a full, though slightly slower version of ubuntu. Any way to make it work? Also doing a normal install inside a new partition doesn't seem to be an option. Vista won't let me shrink my current (only) partition more than 100MB, even though I have over 100GB free.
