View Full Version : [ubuntu] Real mount of samba share in Gnome

Why, in 2009, must I go the command line and edit fstab by hand to actually mount a samba share? Am I missing something? The mount option in Nautilus is not really mounting the share it's just creating a smb://ip/share location, which the console and many other applications can't see.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
