Hi,
My xubuntu 8.10 box is kind of messed up, probably due to some hard power-offs after system crash (caused by a program run under wine).
I want to do a fresh install of xubuntu 8.10 but ofcourse i don't want to lose my home data. Problem: i have no space to back up my home directory.
In the ubuntu wiki i came across this page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbiquityPreserveHome
Is this feature already active. Can i re-install without affecting my home data? I have my home on the same partition as root
