Suddenly Arabic

I just installed Ubuntu 9.04 and everything worked fine until I ran the software update... now everything I type is in arabic even though my location is set to US. I had to boot into windows just to type this. any ideas?

I have noticed that Arabic is the first language on the Select a Language drop down menu. I don't know if you accidentally clicked next without changing that value. Just a thought.
