Hi all,

I'm new to ubuntu. I have created 11 cd's from 5 DL's (different mirrors) and still have errors on the boot disks. I have read numerous threads about ISO burning, MD5 matching, Burner issues and burning software. All were great to read but none of them have helped my issue. I did a test on my burner and it DOES burn an ISO correctly. It seens I am in need of some help here.

My errors are as follows;

ERROR READING DISK BOOT=it just freezes (5 cd's i created)
ERROR ON 1 FILES=when checking disk (4 cd's i created)
and 2 cd'd would not load up = bad burning.

If someone could help me other than ordering the cd and waiting weeks to use this, I will buy you the winning lottery ticket (subject to winning of course) :P

Thanks,

You could try using the usb creation tool to put the iso on a thumb drive.

What software are you using to burn the cd's and at what speed?

Imgburn, Alcohol 120 and InfraRecorder. Could it be that i just have to DL from every mirror to find a good copy?

BTW what usb creation tool do you recommend?

Thanks

I was referring to the tool included in an Ubuntu install, but I'm guessing you don't have Ubuntu installed?

If you do, its in System, Administration

Hmmm, since I don't use Windows, this looks good--but I've never used it:
