I cannot seem to get battlefield 2 working. It says I need to have DirectX 9.0C installed to play. Is there any way to emulate a DirectX environment of some sort that will enable me to play the game?

Of course i'm running the latest version of wine and ubuntu 8.10
I need to get it running on ubuntu as it lags quite a bit on vista.:lolflag:

I have read through the WineHQ bit about it but that didn't work.

i'm going to try and use cedega with it, and if any of you are wondering i am using a not so legal version of it.

It's universally accepted in the Linux community that Cedega is garbage light years behind WINE.
But to each their own, best of luck to you.
