dapper: glibc 2.4

Hi,

having an old dapper ubuntu system on my vserver which is too hard to upgrade, I would like to install glibc2.4 as some applications require it. With 2.3 these applications do not run and now i wonder why there is no new package within apt-cache.

What can i do?

If you install glibc2.4 because some apps need it other apps will not work because they need glibc2.3.Why is so hard to upgrade your server?You have instructions here. (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades)
