Installing Ubuntu from USB cruzer

I just installed a new HD after the old one went physically bad. I downloaded the latest version of ubuntu onto a 1 GB cruzer and I'm wondering how I would now go on to installing ubuntu onto the new HD

you have to burn a cd from the usb iso u downloaded, then install from the cd, or u can make the usb do the install meaning you need to create the live cd on the usb, then boot from the usb then install to harddrive
