Screenlets move and lose thier settings, colors, zip code in ubuntu 8.10

I have downloaded the screenlets program from the add/remove area. I can set them up set properties and when I either restart or turn off some(if not all) screenlets move and others lose their information. Sometimes the weather.com screenlet remembers my zip others it will not. I have read the forum for answers. Tried the hibernate, treat as widget and everything else I could find, and some of the post are older so I was hoping that maybe someone has figured out how to fix this problem.

I have had the same issue in Jaunty since the first time I installed Screenlets. It happens intermittently and is really annoying.

I know this is an old thread, but i am having the exact issue in backtrack 5/ubuntu 10.04

I have exhausted google search, and still no luck with a fix.
I tried a number of my own workarounds but to no avail. :confused:
