hi there,
I'm looking for a calendar-software, preferably open-source.
So far I use lightning (the thunderbird-extension) but I don't like having to open thunderbird each time I want to check my appointments, that there is no kind of alarm or maybe a notification of the appointments of the day after booting.
Back in my winxp-days I used Rainlendar, which existed entirely embedded on ones desktop. You could click your desktop and add dates and appointments, really nifty and quick.
There is a linux-port but I always had problems with it, like the calendar disappearing from the desktop or with the transparency. Also it's not open-source.
Does anyone know anything I should give try?
thanks,
hachel
