View Full Version : [ubuntu] I want to make Ubuntu looks like Vista ..but I can not install fonts or theme engine

hey there, I was Reading this guide "how to make ubuntu look like Vista"

the problem is I can't install the fonts or the tow themes ..
the guide says "Install the Beryl and GTK theme as usual" I downloaded the tow files .. extracted them and right click .. desktop > Change Desktop background > Theme tap and when I drag the theme "error" ...
can you please tell me step by step ..

Long ago i made ubuntu 7.04 look like vista

You may get an idea from these screen shots.

Can't tell you how to do it since I lost the theme packs. Sorry

The theme in question is probably an emerald theme.
You'll need to install stuff to make it work:


sudo apt-get install emerald fusion-icon

You can then load the emerald theme manager with
emerald-theme-manager, import the .emerald file that way.
