View Full Version : [ubuntu] nothing in f-spot sidebar

I haven't used Ubuntu for a couple of release and am trying it again on my desktop computer. I have been impressed with the ease of setting it up in comparison with my experience in the past. One oddity, however, is the lack of sidebar for editing in f-spot. I read over old forum posts and saw a suggestion to toggle F9 to make the sidebar appear/disappear, but this doesn't open any editing controls for me - just makes the sidebar a fraction wider. Here are some screenshots of f-spot with the sidebar open and closed. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling f-spot with no success.

If i am not wrong this is a known bug and it is fixed at trunk

[EDIT] just looked on launchpad for the bug and saw the fix might be as easy as grabbing the sidebar or left window border and enlarging [END EDIT]

Thanks for the reply. How would I go about fixing this? Do I need to compile the package myself?

Unless you find a svn build , yes
