I am in the process of re-building my PC. I am using a motherboard w/ nvidia onboard RAID and 4 SATA ports. (clearly not real hardware RAID). I've search and searched but my main question I want to confirm before I buy anymore hardware is this.

Is it possible to setup a RAID 0 on the motherboard, and install both Vista and Ubununtu to 2 seperate partitions on the RAID 0 Array and boot both w/ GRUB?

If this is not possible at all, I have the opportunity to bu 4 harddrives, and setup a RAID 0 array (using 2 drives) for Vista, and a RAID 0 array (using the last 2 drives) for Ubuntu. But I am concerned as to how GRUB will be able to boot Vista seeing as how it is on a different RAID 0 array, I just dont see how I would be able to point GRUB to the RAID 0 array as a whole instead of just one of the two discs of the RAID 0 array Vista resides on.

Thank you very much for any assistance. And yes I have read this site:
