Hi
not so important question but here it goes:

when in nautilus, viewing files/folders as a list, one gets among other things the size displayed. somehow for folders, it only displays the number of items in that folder, however i would rather see the actual size of the folders without going via right-click - properties

had a look at the preferences tab in nautilus but couldnt find anything usefull.
any ideas?
thanks

What do you mean with the size of the folders? The number of bytes taken on disc by the entries? Why would you need that?
If hope you are expecting looking for a sum of the size of files and files in subdirectories (recursively). That would take quite a bit of time on my 3Tb diskspace if I do:
nautilus /
from the commandline.

windows explorer has a small extension which can do that. I find it very usefull. It is not a time issue.
