View Full Version : [SOLVED] System clock problem and check disk to often...

Anyone please help me..

Everytime I start my ubuntu always ask me to set system clock to present time exactly before the desktop is loaded (every boot clock always back to January 1st, 2004). And my ubuntu also always checking disk to often (on almost every booting). I think this is not normal. It just suddenly happen, I really dont know where/what the problem is.. :(

I already search everywhere on the web but I found nothing. I'am stuck. #-o

I'm very new to everything about ubuntu/linux system. I love ubuntu, I just dont want to give up just because of this. Please..please..help me.. [-o<

Your CMOS battery is probably dead. You need to replace it. the part number for most computers is CR2032

Oww..I didnt realize that could be the problem...
I have 2 OS on my laptop (dualboot). And this, clock and check disk thing, is not a problem when I boot in to another one. :-k

Btw..I think I'm gonna try to change it first. Maybe it can solve my problem. I suddenly realize that my laptop is old, and always on almost 24 hour a day..
