I had some ideas today about the failure of both a command economy and and the free market, I had a faint image of this in my head and decided to make a simple illustration to show my point. Excuse any mistakes, it's a bit late. Thoughts?

Buy everything 'green' and the economy will be just fine!
lol sorry, sarcasm. Yes it is late.

The only problem I can see is that the 'rich' wouldn't be able to feed the economy as much with their luxuries.

We sort of have that kind of system in Denmark.

The challenge is to adjust the model just right so that you keep the rich (the ones who pay a lot of tax) from fleeing the country due to the higher tax-pressure, while maintaining an acceptable level of welfare.

It's a neverending seesaw where people constantly argue about give'n'take from the rich/poor, which is by no means bad; some people just get tired of it and wants a "one size fits all"-solution to stuff (and then mistakenly assume "if it's good for me, then it must be right").

Those over the income limit would just leave the country, as they're leaving the median income goes down.

And now those who, at first, were below the income cap are suddenly above, so they too leave the country, and so on.

And now you're left with only poor people, too poor to leave this country of yours. :)

Sorry, but i think this is how it would pan out...
