Hi all, I am having major problems with raising windows and changing focus. Essentially when I first boot and log in I can not change window focus by clicking on a window. The only way to change focus is to click on the window name in the window list at the bottom panel. If I log off and back on the windows behave normally. I am running compiz, and turning it off does not not seen to change the behavior.

Specs:
AMD X2 Dual Core BE2400
4 gig ram
GeForce 7600 GS 256MB

Ubuntu 8.10 A64
180.11 Nvidia driver from the repository

Thanks in advance for any and all help

Well I think my problem is fixed, although I really can't tell you exaclty what fixed it. I went into gconf and turned off and back on most of the settings in compiz relating to window focus and at then after clicking on the desktop with the middle button, it all just started working like normal. My only idea is that something was set wrong eventhough it looked like it was set correctly
