View Full Version : Why there are viruses in megaman

I just figured out why there are viruses in the megaman games. The servers run windows. That's why the characters are called megaman.exe or protoman.exe. Also, when you remove the firewall cube things from your friends computers, their computers get viruses. Amazing, huh?

Megaman? Like in Megaman I, II, III, IV and V? I only played the GameBoy ones. But aren't ROMS usually compacted on zip files with a dot whatever system your trying to emulate file inside?

Well, I don't own a GameBoy Advance so... I didn't knew the existence of the "Battle Network" series. But I own the original series for the original GameBoy and enjoyed it very much. Guess I'll try that series when work clears out. See if I can get some GBA emu for the PSP.

Does this mean Windows users should make sure their anti-viral software is up to scratch before they attempt to play Megaman?

Or are these virii in-game characters?

As long as you play Rez before Megaman everything is fine.

Yeh the megaman in megaman battle network is a program, a windows program obviously with the .exe at the end.

The only Megaman I remember was for the 8-bit Nintendo, I still have the cartridge around here somewhere.
