I'm new to Linux, and need help installing it on a old computer. I have a HP pavillon ze 5600. I have an install CD which successfully installed Linux on an old Dell Inspiron 8200. When I use it on the HP it started up prompting my language selection, then took to to a screen with the ubuntu logo and gave me the options: Try ubuntu with out changing your computer and install ubuntu. I clicked install ubuntu and and it started with a bar showing installation progress and then took me the ubuntu wall paper and stopped working. I believe I should be seeing an icon saying Install, but there are no icons or task bars.. What is wrong?

Sounds like a job for the alternate install CD. You can get it here:
