Hi,

I am using Ubuntu 8.10. Trying to use QStarDict 0.12.9, I looked at their web site for instructions on installing dictionaries, but only came away confused & what was there, did not work... for some reason or the other.

Any suggestions regarding this, or possibly other dictionary installation would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Henry

I don't have a need for anydictionary other than the online one that comes with gnome in Accessories>Dictionary. Are you aware it is there, or are you assuming you must download one to your disk first?

create ~/.stardict/dic and put your extracted dictionary file to that folder

I installed it from the repository. But it doesn't work:(. when I search for a word mayhem it says, "the word mayhem is not found". I think I want to add dictionary files to this software. I found the dictionary tab in the setting menu. But I can't see any option to add dictionary files

I am using Ubuntu 10.10.
