I installed 8.10 when it first came out.
Even though I selected "greatest free space"
when installing, for some reason it installed
on maybe 5-10gb (i'm not certain).

Right now I have 84mB of free space on it.

Are there some programs I can delete?

i've done
sudo apt-get autoremove

and it does'nt do too much anymore.

If anyone could please point me to a
tutorial or if you have any suggestions
please tell me how I
can make more memory. Thanks.

sudo apt-get clean
df -h

p.s. I think you mean disk space, not memory.

What is getclean? Does it remove temp files and such? Thanks.

Perhaps somebody can show you how to enlarge the partition your currently in. That would be the best solution.

The appropriate answer to your question is "Whatever programs you don't want."

We can't honestly tell you what programs to delete to free up space because we don't know what programs you have installed and what programs you want to keep.

I suggest enlarging your partition though.

"apt-get clean" cleans up temporary files uses by apt-get
