actually i like wok food and i have more than one wok. i been using wok since i was a strict vegetarian some years ago, thats about ten years or so. i have been eating wok food the last couple of days but as always i switch between the wok and ohter times i just eat lots of taco burritos nachos chilli con carne and that kind of thing.

so how many of you uses wok and what are your favorit wok recipe.
mine is actually the peanut butter source. i dont know what it is called but along with fried rice and maybe fish or something else its great, i also love chilli and garlic.

Just remember, two woks don't make a European cooking container. ;)

I don't own one, but I've seen one used in person once. They look really neat.

My mother has a wok, but we never actually used it when I was growing up.

about seven years ago i lived on a small island here in Denmark. i used to cook outside using my wok on the ground on a simple fire every summer. i was a strict vegetarian back then and i could make just about anything in this wok and if sometimes i needed to cook up somthing which a wok could not do then i used a ordinary frying pan for stuff like pancakes. i would cook that inside in the morning but every night i had the fire build for dinner unless it was raining.

i love pancakes with nuts and one other thing i like is to cut the top of an apple and fill it with nuts and honey and then bake it the fire for ten or twenty minuttes and then eat it.

i sometimes but it is at rare events i eat potatoes and if i can get my hands on the sweet red potatoes that is common in africa or usa i will choose them even that they are more expensive here in Denmark. they just taste better i think.

So is the wok the overly disciplined chef or is it that pit stove?
