Hey-- I'm trying to switch to Xubuntu to see if it solves some problems I've been having. I've got the Xubuntu login screen to come up, but when I reboot it seems to be starting up Ubuntu, and the only difference I'm seeing is there's some Xfce programs installed.
Besides switching the splash artwork with sudo, I've also done:
sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get remove xubuntu desktop
sudo apt-get autoremove
I'm not quite sure if that's right, but it seems to have worked in terminal. The only problem is that I'm still seeing GNOME and the ubuntu interface.
I still want to be able to revert to Ubuntu later.
Thanks.
