I have recently "upgraded" to intrepid 8.10, seem like the biggest mistake I ever made. Sure, 8.04 had issues (like firefox inexplicably crashing form time to time and the wireless led not working) but I was able to find the fix for my sound issues and most of the featuers worked.
Since the up grade it seems that nothing is simple. After hours of research and work I cane up fruitless. I CANNOT GET MY SOUND TO WORK along with programs not working the way they did in the past and now it's terminal server client, what next?
I am at my wits end and am ready not just to stop wasting my time with ubuntu, but computing as a hole, and live in a that "small little happy box" that I see so many of my friends living in.
This my come off as a rant, and in a way it is, but more so it is a cry for help, staring with my terminal server client problem. This one my be a simple fix. I my be using it wrong but, I was using it before without any hiccups.

Welcome to the forums.

Tell us more details: what hardware do you have? Post the output of the following command:

lspci
(a list of PCI devices in your computer).

And the problem with terminal server client actually is what?

You need to tell us what is wrong before we can help :)

oh and sound wise you need to start a post telling people what your hardware is, without that information theres really nowhere to even get started.

See'f it works when upgrading to 9.04, hold alt+f2 and in the box type 'update-manager -d'(without quote marks) and upgrade and this may fix your problem due to the fact that its in beta stages now more a less however there will be frequent updates eg every 2 hrs
