Hello!
I would like to install the kernel 2.6.11 in Ubuntu.. but I didn't find it in the repository... where I can find it?

I have already tried to download the source code from kernel.org, then apply the patch http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/devel/binutils/linux-2.6-seg-5.patch
...I managed to compile it, but I can't install the .gdb file at the end...

Where I can find an easy way to have the kernel 2.6.11??

What version of Ubuntu are you using? Is there any special reason why you think you need kernel version 2.6.11? (That's an old version: Ubuntu 8.10 comes with kernel 2.6.27, for example).

Thank for the quick answer

I have
Ubuntu 8.10 i386
Linux version 2.6.27-7-generic

do you think is too much old? Are there any problems concerning the ext4 support?

By the way I know the 2.6.11 version is quite old, but I need it to perform some tests.
(In details I need to modify the time quantum of a process. I know in the version 2.6.11 this is perfectly linked to the static priority. I think in 2.6.27 this is changed, so for that reason I need to have the kernel 2.6.11)
