Is there software out there that I can install on Ubuntu that will allow me to mount a windows partition and scan it for Viruses/Malware? Or better yet is there a program that will not only scan for them but also fix/remove the found entries?

I was poking around on google some but did not find anything that appeared to do exactly what I am looking for.

the only program i can think of is clamAV. i do not use antivirus as i use linux only but i remember that clam AV is installed on some linux distributions as antivirus.

i am thinking that maybe you should be able to find a linux live distribution that has a antivirus program installed and just run it from the livecd. i can not point to any distro however.

hope yo find a solution.

it would have to be able to update, it can't do that from a live cd(a flash drive would work). Avast will do every thing you want
