how many bit for my kubuntu?

I have just downloaded the iso versions for kubuntu 8.10

My problem is really basic...

What version shall I install between the 32 and 64 bit on the following processor:

Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 (2.53 GHz, 1066MHz, 6MB)

but this particular processor is 32 bit

Well, what about this Wikipedia's link?

The first sentence says:

The Core 2 brand refers to a range of Intel's consumer 64-bit x86-64 single-, dual-, and quad-core CPUs based on the Intel Core microarchitecture.

does it means exactly the opposite of your post or do I misunderstand something?
