You might get quicker response by searching Google or asking in the wireless sub-forum. Also check out any sticky posts in the wireless forum.

Don't think there is a generic wireless driver that works on all or most adapters. Mentioning your wireless model would help us help you. Why don't you post the output of sudo lshw -C network.
