Yes, I'm on 8.10 [x86], and yes, it sure looks like I typed the command properly

I have an Office 2007 disk at home, but I'm getting the WINE and stuff set up first

Did you type the intended -O- (hyphen capital-Oh hyphen) or an erroneous -0-? Try it without the trailing "| sudo ..."; you should get a paraphraph starting
