somebody has hacked my pc

hey anyone, please help ...
somebody has hacked my pc for sure...
when I first installed ubuntu studio I thought I was trippin...
so I reinstalled and now my current version is Ubuntu 8.10 with windows7 on the back... the first couple of days everything was ok but as long as appeared that that my application button is not working any more and a row of other options are not available I don't know what to do.
please give me any suggestions what could i do about it.

I am sorry you are having problems, but it seems you are jumping to conclusions.

It is sad that some OS has this problem, but really it is very unlikely that you have been hacked.

Please do two things:

1. Read the stickies at the top of these forums, both security and intrusion detection.

2. Please start a thread in the support section with a description of you problem, version(s) of linux, and hardware, particularly your video card and cpu.
