hello everyone,
I have KUbuntu 8.10 and i installed compiz . \everything good i used it for 4 mounts without any troble. But the animation part of compiz doesdn`t work and i tried to configure the animations from Simple Compix Manager Settings not Compiz Manager Settings (I don`t know if I sppeld it good) I configure the minimize to burn, the close to explode, the open to fade and when i cliked ok the whole X frozed but the mouse doesn`t , weird for me :)) . \i restrarted the system , it let me put my user and pass in the splash apared and a few seconds after it disapred the whole compiz desktop froz but i could use the mouse, but uselass...
Please help . I can get in the shell with root privileges this could defenittly help but i don`t know any command of how to start kde (i trid #startx but even this frozed), or to unistall compiz or something to help me
if anyone knows a way please help me and pls step by step . thanks
