I've done the Ubuntu Server 8.1 install from the downloaded ISO image many many times to make sure my older Dell Poweredge 2550 Server with raid controller was setup ok. I used the guided install to setup partitions. The last 3 installs were the best with no install problems until asked to restart the server. After bios loads and raid manager finds all the hard drives the startup process stops instead of loading GRUB and just sits there with a blinking cursor. Does not go beyond this. Suggestions?
