I had to do a recovery on a Sony Vaio desktop pcv-rs320. The recovery partition was corrupted and not accessible. I installed win xp prof. from a CD. My question is: how can I make the c-drive partion bigger? It is only 13GB compared to D, 90 GB. Can I use partition magic? Will I have to recover the PC again if I do? Thanks!

You can use Gparted live CD. (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/)First defragment few times partition you want to shrink (D in your case),and then shrink it.On unallocated space expand your C.

If you have Partition Magic, recommend using that. But, do it in two stages. First, resize and move your D partition to the right. Then, resize your C partition. All should be OK after that.
