Recently I bought a SL500 with the 2.0GHz 1066MHz CPU which came with 1GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 @ 667MHz memory. Since its (GS45, GM45 or PM45?) chipset can support DDR2 up to 800MHz/PC2-6400, I bought two sticks of 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 @ 800MHz memory to max it out. It boots fine and seems to be happy, but many times (not all the time) it goes to sleep mode -- or even screensaver mode -- it will freeze. By that I mean the mouse cursor stops moving and the keyboard becomes ignored, forcing me to reboot it by using the power button. However, with the 1GB PC2-5300 it works fine. What could I be missing here?
