I have Ubuntu 8.04.
I installed comix using "sudo apt-get install comix" and it installed the earliest version. I want the latest version.
I downloaded a file from the comix site that if this were windows i would assume was an installer - just opens like a folder when i click it. The file is called "comix-4.0.3.tar.gz". 4.0.3 is the version i want.
Can someone please explain in simple terms (the only thing i know about anything is that "apt-get" can download things for you, i'm a total noob) how on earth i update to the newest version?
Thank you for your help and patience, i am very new.
