Hello
This is the first time I'm trying to install Ubuntu on my system.
I've downloaded Ubuntu 8.10 and burned it to a disk. I've rebooted and choosed to install.
After this step:

I get this:

I could use some help... Thanks.

Use the Alternate CD. It's made to avoid graphics problems. You can also try 'Safe Graphics Mode'. F4 I think.

I agree with Pumalite - the alternate CD could be a good solution.

Its also possible that you might just have a faulty regular CD - Have you tried the CD Check option at the main boot screen?

Yes I have and it says that the cd has no errors, or something like that.

Hi and have you tried the option under F4 that Pumalite mentioned.
