Do you think that this is for real?

http://www.airsoftblog.com/cheapdownload_Adobe_Acrobat_9_Pro_for_Mac_(1_cd).p hp

Price at amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Acrobat-Professional-9-Mac/dp/B0018QY9WA

The thing that really concerns me is that in the Order Information section(after you click Proceed to Checkout), they have this:

B buying software you fully agree to and understand our definition of OEM Software.

The OEM Software:

Is downloadable software;
May comes with:
- Additional (included with the package) serial code generators, or
- Additional EXE file substitues (included with the package), or
- No additional tools; the software is simply installed and run.

Does the first sentence "serial code generators" sound suspicious to you?

It's in Russia. Call me stereotypical, but I'll bet it's pirated. Then again you are comparing Acrobat 7.0 with Acrobat 9.0 Mac. Adobe might be selling off their outdated product CDs that they didn't sell cheaply. Don't think so though.

....Then again you are comparing Acrobat 7.0 with Acrobat 9.0 Mac. .....

Sorry, I updated the link....it's now a direct comparison between 9.0 and 9.0.

It's not just for Adobe....I was really interested in Origin PRO 7.5(legally) and stumbled on this website. Since more people are familiar with Adobe products, I asked the question in relation to Adobe Acrobat.

Yeah I came across a similar website registered by the same guy apparently: http://softblock.net/buy-Celemony_Melodyne_Studio_Edition_3.1-download.html

I was looking to buy Melodyne, again legally, did a search and this came up among others. The thing is this version is much older than the current version, which costs about €160 from the official Celemony site. The older one would do me just fine. Given it is old, I was wondering if this could be a genuine offer but I'm not interested if it is pirated. Does anyone have any further info on this site or the OEM offer itself?

Thanks,
Mark

To answer your title: I vote yes they are. i would not buy it. After all you don't know what you are getting or has been added to the disk, if you get anything.

Personally I wouldn't think buying software from someplace called "airsoftblog" would sound like a good idea or a legitimate software distributor in the first place. Just my opinion.

I've seen that of thing before.....aaargh I see Pirates in the Bay! Shiver me timbers! Legitimate software doesn't normally need such beasties!

Haha, serial code generators? What legit software ships with those? You could make an unlimited number of serials and resell them...

And exe replacements? haha, Can't he just say "Cracks"?

Can't he just say "Cracks"?

Or "Malware"

It amazes me how many people will pay money for antivirus software, then install software they've illegally downloaded from a P2P network, or some shady character on the net.

My father fell into such a trap; there was no malware involved, but the label on the discount Photoshop CD he bought was clearly printed on a home printer.

Yes they are.

Obviously it is illegal copies.

Look at Autocad 2010 at $ 156.
I think that one should be some $ 4000.

You would probably get an equally legit copy by downloading a torrent.
Which is not legit at all of course.
