My Ubuntu 8.10 installation displays the default top and bottom panels which I like :)

For some reason, about half an hour ago Firefox has started behaving strangely, in that when it opens up, it opens over the two panels. If I put Firefox into full screen mode, and then back out it fits back in between the panels again as I'd expect it to.

If I quit Firefox and restart, it opens up over the panels again.

I haven't made any changes, Firefox/Ubuntu has started doing this 'by itself'. Can someone please help me set it back to how I like it i.e. leaving the panels visible? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but no joy there. Perhaps some configuration files were left behind on uninstall which preserved the way it opens?

Do you have compiz enabled? If so, check out this page (there was also a thread here recently, but I can't seem to dig it up).

Thanks, I'll give that a go.
