Guttenberg for Music?

Hi folks.
Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org) does a great job of taking books and documents that have passed out of copyright and making them available for free online. Does anyone know of any sites that do the same for music? Either recorded or written.

Not yet, due to most everything still being under copyright.

Give it 20-50 years and maybe.

But yes, there's plenty of Open Source music, but Project Gutenberg is about famous tomes, so I think he'd want famous tunes.

It's called the International Music Score Library Project (http://imslp.org/) It has had quite a few legal issues (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Music_Score_Library_Project#Closure_ and_reopening) in the past.
