Dear Everyone,

I have just done the most amazingly dumb thing.

I installed Ubuntu with WUPI and was then going to move it to its own partition with LVPM. However as I did that I forgot to partition a space for it. When I launched LVPM I saw that there was 2 partitions avaialble and I figured that the one was the Windows partition (which it was) and the other would then be the remaining unpartitioned space on the computer (which it wasn't)!

I clicked "ok" and it started formatting and preparing for the transfer of the partition. Then I realized that it was my external USB hard drive that was being formatted!! I quickly disconnected it but now I cannot enter it - it just does not show up anymore.

It was only for max 30 seconds that the LVPM was allowed to wreak havoc on my hard drive - any ideas how to get the files?

I am currently investigating with www.stelarinfo.com but the want more than 400 euros for it!!

Thanks,
