Last summer I managed to load Hardy Heron onto my Asus 901, which works well. I recently obtained an HP Mini 1000 Mi, which is now running Hardy Heron. I plan to sell my 901. Several potential buyers like the Ubuntu OS, but reinstalling and getting everything to work on the 901 is not necessarily easy. Is there a way to add a user (ie, the purchaser), then to delete myself (seller) as a user? Or is it best to do a re-install of Hardy Heron (the Asus configuration by Adam McDaniel. http://array.org/ubuntu/

Suggestions appreciated.

I'd just install over the top. It should be easy with a custom made distro (of which there are a few).

Not sure if you can install it OEM though.

Yep, it is possible.

Just add a new user, and then MAKE SURE THAT HE BELONGS TO ADMIN GROUP, and then you can delete your old user.

But, I think when you destroy a user, the contents of home folder will remain, if you dont delete them. So just wipe your old home folder... And then empty the trash and copy the hd full of something. eg. movies, and delete them. So that undelete wont restore your old files any longer..

BUT why not just delete all sensitive files and then give it avay.. What does it matter that the username stays the same?
